Bus Trip - Morning Ride

Updated on May 5, 2012

After Work Going Home

Source

Morning Ride - Bus Glide

Bags Bounce and Juggle

Clutch of Girls - Giggle, Chatter

Steamy Windows Fog

Shuffle Down - Move Down!

Gaggle of Bodies Swaying

Stuffed Like Sardines Can

School Kids Transporting

Thrumming Engine Powering

Shuffle, Sniff, Cough - Sigh

People Pushing By

Staring Outward Into Space

Blankness On Their Face

Stop, Get Off - Get On

Soft Snippets of Chattering

Rhythm of the Song

Quiet Time and Space

Thoughts Float By and Time Slows Down

Excerpt in my Day

Nowhere Found, But There

Bridge Between Work and Home

I Am No-one Here

Till I Step Off the

Bus and Sound and Life Begins

Again I Go Home

Thanks for your kind comment. It was reflective in that there is a feeling of being in a schism, neither 'out there' nor at home, and people 'disconnect'...

Excellent poem, and it did remind me just a bit of the book I read to my grandchildren, "The Wheels on the Bus Go Up and Down." Love it!
