Butcher, Baker, Candlestick Maker (a poem of reflection)
Who could take red meat, to slice it up, and in the process, to create art,
Turn beef into steaks, pork meat into roasts, chickens, to warm the heart?
With a single swipe of his sharpest blade, a fine sculpture, he has made,
The butcher, such a gifted artist, carves each masterpiece, as his trade.
A maker of delicious breads, from his hottest oven, baked to perfection,
The baker works his magic with sifted flour and cream, all in his affection.
Every row of sweet pastry and loaves, as a nice dream, on our inspection.
His own art, that of the most gifted cook, all to seem, as a finest reflection.
The maker of candles, a wonderful wizard, wax craftsman, with gifted hands,
Such pearls, he does create, each stick, and when finished, cleverly brands,
The wax man's mark, a cherished gift, each admirer to possess his fine wares,
His burning lights, all seen in the nights, to prove in his artistry, that he cares.
The village blacksmith, his bright embers to burn, our admiration, all extolls,
His powerful arms and sturdy hands, to forge steel and iron, from his coals.
Forming blades and metal implements, needed, to the working man, a friend,
Every metal shoe to fit their horses feet, the local farmers, on him do depend.
The seamstress, an artisan of her own renown, a weaver of dreams, to show.
As with a magician's hands and her needle, she makes each thread, just so.
Whether a colorful tapestry, a rug, or fine dress, its quality and design, impress,
Such a clever and gifted designer is she, of her artistry, our words can't express.
Those most common in our everyday lives, we may seem, all to take for granted,
Yet, each to have their own special place, as their seeds of love are planted.
Each to be regarded as a masterful one, for greatest talents they all do possess,
A devoted patriot, all, in every way, true strength of society, and by each, so blessed!
