By the Pen of a Poet ( a poem to be shared)

Updated on October 9, 2014
With such grand beauty all around us...little wonder, poets are so inspired.
With such grand beauty all around us...little wonder, poets are so inspired.
A poet's words are weathered by the storms of life.
A poet's words are weathered by the storms of life.
The mood is affected by many things.
The mood is affected by many things.
The words of a poet may fly high in his thoughts.
The words of a poet may fly high in his thoughts.
A beautiful butterfly may just be a great motivating source for a poet.
A beautiful butterfly may just be a great motivating source for a poet.

A poet, with pen in hand, records words upon the page,

Those words of happiness, or perhaps, of such a rage,

As, with each stroke he makes, by his most potent pen,

He may move the tallest mountain, and then, it back again.

His words may speak volumes, or words to raise doubt,

Written with such a hope, that it makes us want to shout.

The steadiness of his hand, that of a craftsman by trade,

Much thoughtfulness displayed, in strokes he has made.

A new mission he may have, or that he wants to expand,

This glorious cause, revealed, and to help us understand.

What this artist decides, to find its place upon any stage.

So masterfully to project, his rhymes, upon every page.

His thoughts to be related by each, this is his fullest intent,

Our appreciating his fine skills, one true motive of this gent.

Words written by feathered quill, or sharpest pen, to be sent,

The shared message in rhyme, or in prose, is time well spent.

Yes, a poet sees the things differently....through his pen he makes the words dance on the stage of paper...and the same thing you did here...beautiful thoughts...kudos!
