It’s the day~

Of acceptance~

For the Lady~

So not usually aware~

To care.

She sat~

For Him~

 Too many years~

While always covering~

Up her tears.

The lies he spoke~

Where always shook~

Brushed under the rug~

For no one to hear. ~

While over~

And over~

The troubles~

Where fought~

And dealt with by her alone~

By the Lady~

With admirable tone.

Those bright times~

Even passed with woe. ~

As more patience called for~

Were needed~

And worked~

 For times to pass.

Until one moonlit night~

The footsteps in the Snow~

Led the courage of the girl~

The gulping nerve of the Lady~

Brought unhappy truth~

At large.

No denying~

No remorse~

Not even~

A polite lie.

Until the almost~

Final move~

All the way up~

The widow’s hill.

He flaunts! ~

He is blatant! ~

He slaps her face! ~

To her head~

Slowly drew~

The Lady’s sense!

Now he volunteers~

Sickening lies~

As the Lady tolerates~

And worries of kids. ~

The widow~

And he~

As drunk-kers~

Go selfishly indulge!

Widows children~

Abused they cry~

The Lady’s children~

Cry as denied. ~

Yet still~

The widow~

And he~

In a self-centered~

World of their own. ~

He works with violence~

As she ridiculed will still malinger~

As scandals don’t for stall.

The shame~

Still for victims left~

To heal~

All alone. ~

The wounded~

Always hopeful~

Always disappointed~

Still struggle to go on!

It is the known day~

Of acceptance~

But soon~

“Woe to those!” ~

It will be~

Next rest peacefully~

First the children~

Than the Lady~

Shimmering fair.

While at the bottom~

Will sit old black wid-da~

And cheet-ta~

Wallowing solo quick~

With sickening despair~

With sickening despair…

It’s the day~

Of acceptance~

Now you~

Thank You Putz Ballard ---The Lady however was very strong and won in the end. Watching this in my late twenties greatly effected me. I felt so bad, like it was happening to me, (thankfully not) yet writing it down and exspressing it is a healthy way to understand and cope with life & the lessons of life.

A great story but so sad and all too often true. Great photographs also. You have such a great talent!
