Claim Your Victory

Updated on September 5, 2013

Claim Your Victory - Do it Today!

Victory! I claim for me,

Jesus wrought it to set me free

Through His shed blood at Calvary,

So, victory I claim for me.

Jesus defeated every foe,

In His name they have to go

Chains are falling this I know,

Because, Jesus defeated every foe.

Openly He triumphed over them all,

Redeemed and saved me from the fall

On His name I do and will call,

Openly Jesus triumphed over them all.

Breakthroughs are shifting the atmosphere,

Climates are changing everywhere

All principalities are bowing in the air,

Breakthroughs are shifting the atmosphere

In the name of Jesus there is authority,

In the name of Jesus there is all power

That name is above every name, and

At that name all will bow.

Would you believe that this poem was written today? Last night I went to sleep just singing and praising the Lord about the victory He wrought. The anointing of the Holy Spirit is breaking chains in me and I pray the same anointing for all who read. Do you realize that reading is listening in the world of literacy and we speak through what we are inspired to write. I am not a verbally voluble person, but I believe I have found my voice through writing. I am learning so much about how I really think, how about you?

      Hello Mabel,

Last night, I too went to sleep singing and praising the Lord and this morning when I awoke, which is usually always before the alarm (don't know why I set it!!!) I awoke with "His love endures forever" as my first waking thought. A few years ago, I was an Associate at a Benedictine monastery, and during one of the prayer times called Vespers, during which the psalms are sung, one of the hymns had the above words as the refrain. It was such a wonderful memory of worshipping, to begin my day on.

I live alone, so spend much time in silence, alone with the Lord. I feel so blessed to be able to have this precious 'season.'

I have noticed over the years, that correspondence with friends and loved ones is often more intimate and conducive to sharing with one another, than it is in the flesh. At first, I found that odd. But with time I understood that when alone, we can search our own hearts, without any pressure to speak and without any interruptions, before putting our words down on paper and they are usually uplifting and encouraging - meaningful and loving - rather than meaningless and often empty when we share in the flesh. Our God is so good. He maketh our paths straight. And all His work is done in truth. Yes, the earth is full of the goodness of the Lord. (Psalm 33) even though it is so often overlooked! God Bless.
