Lark in Flight

As the whistling willow caresses me,

The rain weeps lovingly from within the clouds.

The vibrant flow from the key-strokes of Bill Holland –

Like a rushing stream –

Takes me to that ineffable realm,

Where stagnancy is not welcomed,

And words become alive!

I see the rhythm; the symmetry of the lark in flight,

I hear its chirping melody,

Resonating over a lake with gentle ripples;

Coloured by the luminance of the crescent moon.

O for the ‘Flash’ of Frank and Chris Mills (Cam);

The wit and wisdom of Jodah, which,

Like a maze of mysteries, weave their intricate patterns,

As I become lost in the grandeur of their designs.

It is then that I remember the sublimity …

The penetrating verses of Nellieanna;

The loftiness of Surabhi’s; Rasma’s romantic tapestry of flow.

Sweet cadences, timeless and immortal, like Love,

You weave your magic, Like a Libran pendulum,

Swinging and dancing to the Soul of Mozart;

Smiling with the magnificence of Da Vinci’s Mona.

I see Audrey’s masterpieces, woven together, like a ballet,

Graceful, eloquent… waltzing with the flow of Consciousness;

Whispering to the tempo of Mother Earth.

Here they mix with the lustre of perennial stars;

Radiate an enchanting symphony,

Banqueting at the birthless and deathless feet, of Immortality.

      Yes Ann, many indeed! You will appreciate how hard it is to pick more, especially if I wish to maintain the poems rhythm and charm. But you were in my Heart when I mentioned the Creative Writers bit in the Title. Much Love.

      Great choice of writers; there are so many talented ones here on hubpages. Lovely idea to write something for them and cover several genres.

      Don't be silly, O Child of Light! So far, every single one of my words to you, have been designed to lift you up; to elevate; to reach the Heart; to inspire ...

      We all carry burdens, and you have made some of them obvious. Why would any spiritual seeker wish to add to someone else's burden? It is a terrible thing to do! Rest assured that you remain very dear to me.

      You have not visited my work recently, and I have not visited your's either. I took a 5-6 week break and I have read some of your work since coming back. I believe that I've actually told you that I do not like reading them if I feel that they are too dark. Nevertheless, your poetry is well-crafted and sometimes quite brilliant.

      I was literally just thinking of you, and wondering if I should dedicate a poem to you. Tomorrow, God's willing, I will read at a celebration of someone's life. They are poems I wrote on 'passing' and I was reading your sweet comments on one of them.

      We are all practical and sometimes sensitive people, but I have no enemies. One of my dear friends told me that others may think of me as such, but frankly that's not meaningful to me. Yoga is about the transformation of one's lower self to the Higher Self and I was blessed with a good Teacher.

      I'm so happy that you've bridged the gap. This perhaps makes you nobler, humbler than I am, perhaps, and some others too. Hugs to the children. Much Peace.

      Very nice shout outs and well deserved ones too in this beautiful poem, Manatita.

      I haven't been here in a while, because something told me, my presence was not welcomed for whatever reason. I can live with that. Although, I am puzzled as to why, but I don't have time to ponder on these types of things, so I will just say; if I have done something to offend you, I do apologize. I would not know what that offense would be, so it wastes my time in thinking about it.

      If it is simply you just don't find me comparable in our talents here, I get that I suppose. However, I do hope you don't mind that I stopped by this evening to read a lovely sonnet. I'm glad I picked this one; I love and know just about everyone you mentioned I believe. :) Peace be with you! ~Missy
