Can You See - An Original Poem by S

Updated on October 25, 2012

Can't you see the beauty in every rock and star

Can't you see how far we've come from how we used to be and how we are

Look to the mountains and to the skies

We all have such a short time before we die

Another day fades away and still the people cry

Would it hurt to listen or care

Instead of feed these lies

Watch as the eagle flies

It knows why it's here

It's vision clear

Free of fear

So much to do so little time

To be happy and love isn't a crime

The Great Spirit is in us all

And each of us can make a difference even though we feel it's small

There's more to life than what we own

There's more to see than what we've been shown.

- S.
