May I borrow a song

Updated on September 20, 2015

I watch a bird as it takes flight,

Wishing I could fly that height,

I call out to the bird, but it continues to fly away from my sight,

I watch the fish swim swift and nimble,

I splash in the water to join the bathe, but the fish paddles away, I then swam back to the bay,

I watch the caterpillar, as it crawls the earth, just moves along, not even to be heard,

I lean in close, and crawl myself, just to be passed by, and not heard myself,

As I sit up straight, and realize my way, is the way I am to go, so I can't be late,

I then heard a sound, beautiful to me, it was the sound of my song, sang for me.
