Can't Keep a BAD Girl Down
Can't Keep a Bad Girl Down
From poetry to politics to psychology in rhyme,
I'll dip my wick most anywhere - so nosy it's a crime!
Insulting proper grammar - verbs often wrongly tensed,
Nary a deterrent - from adding my two cents!
With a dash of shock and awe, and a twisted bit of humor,
If I left it locked inside - I'd wind up with a tumor!
Sarcasm protects me, while humor acts the sword,
Meld the two together - mayhaps they'll strike a chord!
Wishing I could mind my own - and simply turn away,
I believe it's called a death wish - when one leaps into the fray?
Sex, and drugs, and rock and roll - and health care, don't forget,
Targeting those narrow minds - this planet's greatest threat!
Grading is for street work - thermometers gauge Degrees,
The poorest of the poor could offer wide-spread expertise!
If we could re-adjust our thinking - use all resources at hand,
We could turn this dry, cracked desert - into The Promised Land!
Injustice and the underdog - this Libra seeks proportion,
Gays and Blacks and Women - and yes - even abortion!
View life from someone else's shoes - afore you cast that stone,
Attempt to live in harmony - why choose a battle zone?
Uphill's the fight to open eyes - to modify perspective!
We're all going down together - if something doesn't quickly give!
The future's here and now - white world's turning brown,
Until they get the memo - Can't Keep This Bad Girl Down!
