Carry Over

Updated on September 25, 2014

Many Times

One day is never enough time

To do all the things we think of

So we do what we can and put the rest on hold

Sometimes picking up where we ended

Most of the time forgetting what we did and moving on

I constantly write lists and cross out the things I do

Then circle the things I couldn't get to for one reason or another

Then as the next day begins I have an easy reminder

I can choose to do other things or backtrack and find my place

This way I don't travel in circles

I know where I have been and how I got there

I can see a pattern

For good or bad

If I am lazy or sad

When I am having the time of my life

I am in tune with everything that brings me happiness

I wake up pumped and ready to do more

If I am sluggish or lethargic

There happens to be a reason

Sometimes it's just a blue mood

I look for any underlying meanings

Then pick myself up and move on

This is no way to live

So I do not drag my feet

I find anything to trigger my energy

Things that get me excited and motivated

It can be an old sitcom or a movie I wanted to see

That brings me home

A walk or a jog

Listening to music

Talking to a friend

Writing a poem that has no end

Minnetonka Twin I walk a little every day. Most of the time a half an hour but I want to keep walking but there are always other things to do. I walked my cousins dog yesterday and it was a challenge. Every day I have so much energy and have been trying to box it up.No luck yet. I will keep trying. Thank you for your comments and your wonderful support. Have one great Sunday.

Yes, this weekend is going to be in the 70's and sunny. I love walking my dogs so much on the trails by my home. It brings me joy to see how much fun the dogs have. They do lots of sniffing and enjoying the sights of beautiful mother nature, and at the same time, I get a good workout. Walking is one of my favorite things in life. After a walk, I am energized and feel so happy. How often you do get out for a walk? would love to hear. I try to get out every day if I can. Even if it's just a short walk.
