Cast Aside the Apocalypse (a poem of highest inspiration)
The big dog that bites, the hot fire that burns...
To escape the worst, for this our body yearns,
Every child that's to be born, soon so learns,
To seek out the light, as the dark, he spurns.
Since days of old, now to times that are here,
Our lives are often modeled by pain or fear.
We must escape this mold, or our downfall is near,
Then hold on fast to the life, held so dear.
Each positive thought precedes real success,
As we do what's right, always to be our best,
Utilize the intuition, that we all do possess,
Show appreciation in how we've been blessed.
We must build our knowledge, take off old blinds,
Blaze exciting new trails, while improving our minds,
Casting aside those creepy apocalyptic designs,
Better this world's relations, our spirit so defines.
We're witness to the good and the bad in our lives,
Just how unified efforts, in its strengths, well survives.
Our better tomorrows, guided by what we do each day,
A testament to our courage, in the acts we all display.
Can we change the false course, of these, our human events,
A direction of self-destruction, sometimes human nature presents?
Yes, we can accomplish this, for our unified spirits shall prevail,
This blueprint, shining with the stars, held by the architect, not to fail.
