Changing with time - a haiku

Updated on August 1, 2012
Source

What changes in time? How does it change? Do make your suggestions in this haiku, I would really love to have your interpretations!

Ever increasing

Reaching upwards for things great

Self abounds in time

Forming on the surface

Carving very carefully

Lines of great beauty

A change of color

Becoming ever mellow

Expanding in life

Thanks, Ish!! Yup, we've to adapt to change, but it's so hard to do...accepting is the most difficult!! Thanks for the vote, etc, and for coming by!!

A well-versed haiku on changing with time! In some cases, change is for better. We should learn to adapt to, cope with and accept change in our lives. Well-done!

Thanks for SHARING. Beautiful. Voted up

Michelle, this made me think of how I was just looking at some pictures of my husband and I from when we first met (almost 10 years ago) and all we have gone through and all that has changed for us (getting engaged, married, being newlyweds, having kids and so much more). Thanks for this self reflection this morning. Have voted and shared too!!

No one really likes change, but it's beneficial for growth. I've learned to accept change, most of the time:) Excellent haiku!

Hi Keith! A fantastic interpretation. As we grow and change, we need to have a wider view of life to make sense of the new things that come our way! Thanks so much for stopping by!

This is extremely beautiful, Michelle! "A change in color...expanding in life", We all must know when we must calm down, change our colors of interpretation, and expand our views in our lives to make sense of the whole painting :) great job :)

      MHatter,

I agree completely with you. We all are on the same page, if only most of us would see it that way! All of us go through changes, the only difference is experience. Thanks for stopping by, my friend!

You are really good at this. Figure this one out: Is my time the same as your time? A lifetime of experience says yes.

I think everything changes with time - the only constant around us really is change itself... Another lovely poem my friend.

Everything changes in life: some good, some bad. I wish my skin wouldn't make so many changes (for the bad)

      Well done, friend, Mary

A very insightful sharing Patty! Experience indeed adds carvings to our skin, and our soul as well! And those carvings should not be disregarded! Always look forward to your hub visits!

Awesome!!! As usual, I am very impressed!!! I felt that this represented growing older...each experience we gain, the more wisdom we learn tends to add "carvings" into both our skin as well as our soul. When younger, our seed is just planted, we are forever reaching ...but as we age, some find an inner beauty/inner peace and hence more mellowed!! Well Done!!!

cleaner3, such enriching comments! Change, except for love, is indeed our only constant. If we'd only more respect for that!

A great sharing, Josh! That's what should happen to us as we age! We should become better people day by day, with new experiences!

      time is everlasting,

      changes are inevitable,

      life is a constant change,

love is forever , it evolves within, something we can't see, we can only feel

if we could see love , we would treat it differently, have more respect for feelings

one day we realize, what we remember, wasn't what we thought it was..

      Michelle,

Beautiful Haiku Michelle! I would have to say that this poem made me think of maturity. As a kid grows into an adult and learns new things and has more experiences, his/her maturity grows and blossoms making him/her a better person.
