Choices Made

Choices Made

By Tony DeLorger © 2011

Choices made are contracts signed,

the consequences of which are imposed without malice,

with due care and with the full extent of universal law.

We make our bed, we must lie in it.

Balance prevails always, with or without our attention,

and the penalty of our wrongdoing, matched to it.

Some call it Karma, others an eye for an eye,

but it exists in perfect action, nonetheless.

It is wise to understand this movement in human affairs,

as it can result in much misery without our awareness.

Our thoughts and actions cause affect,

the results of which we must deal with.

Blindly ignoring balance we can create havoc,

our negativity causing all manner of opposing forces,

stumbling blocks and contention.

Life can become one fractured path, one disaster leading on to the next.

Balance will prevail, one way or another,

our understanding allowing us the course of right choices.

Like attracts like and our attitudes create circumstance,

a just and fulfilling life the result of positivity.

Be careful with your choices, there are consequences.

My pleasure Poetic Fool. Thank you for recognising it. We are responsible for our actions and those of us that are aware, live better lives because of it. There is no cure for ignorance, only truth.

Would that more people understand this is true! Our society has worked so hard to divorce consequence from action. It's always someone else's fault, it's how they were raised, or whatever. Thanks for writing the truth.

You are so right.I think if we spend more time on thinking before we do something than thinking after we did it.We can accomplish so much more with less mistakes. Thanks for sharing.
