Choosing Engagement Ring (limerick)

Updated on January 30, 2015

When choosing her engagement ring

Don’t focus on cost of the thing

It’s not what one spends

Its luster depends

It’s envy in friends it will bring

I'm only starting to catch up on all that I've missed lately and this was a great place to start. Like Leslie, I'm not much of a "rock" kinda girl but I needed sunglasses for this one.

LOL...that's some rock there my friend!

      Personally - i'd take a horse over a diamond - any day!

It may not sparkle as much, but - it smells better...haha

Good one! Obviously she needs to like it, but you better believe the friends are going to chime in

This reminds me of a friend of mine. His fiancé was not thrilled with the engagement ring, bu tit was all he could do at the time. It was a long engagement, so he told her that he would have it polished so it would look nice and new next to the new wedding band. His actual plan was to buy her the kind of enganement ring she really wanted. He told me all about it and showed me the new ring. wow! He was going to give it to her the day of the wedding. I said oh no no. She had to get it before so she could enjoy it and show her friends. He took my advice and gave it to her over a nice dinner. Her reaction - she it him and cried. and of course she was showing it off like crazy. guess she liked it. :)

Speaking of friends, you appear to have many. Welcome back and hope you are feeling much better. Google good foods and herbs to make you much better! I always do and it works! ^

Wow, great picture of a diamond ring. Funny limerick, but can be a serious subject when buying and engagement ring.

So funny and so true. That is a photo of a most gorgeous diamond ring you used. I'd envy one like that.

Her new diamond ring has luster and bling,

As she displays it to her best friends and peers.

They say, "Wow, you must be really good."

She says, "Goodness had nothing to do with it, my dears."
