Christmas dedication/a poem
Dear Erna, I decorated the tree, and put up all the lights, just a little glimmer of hope to guide me through the night.
The angels are on the mantle, and the stockings are hung with cheer, but sadness numbs my heart, knowing that you aren't here.
The house that we shared together, is no longer my home, I'm in a different place, feeling so lost and alone.
There are no friends or family,to heal the pain I feel, only my own strength, and the grace of God's will.
Laughter and joy bring in the holiday season, but without you here,I don't see the reason.
I don't know if you have Christmas in heaven, but I will continue to pray, maybe I'll find out when I see you there one day.
