Cold And Raw Outside

Updated on November 29, 2015

Warm And Peaceful Inside

Rain has blessed us again

The weather is just plain nasty

I am so glad to see it from a distance

The temperature is a mix of warm and cold air

Causing fog and unsafe driving conditions

So nice to be at work or at home

One of those days where nature just runs it's course

Tomorrow the sun is suppose to return and 45

One day away

I'm a bit tired myself

I laid down for a nap and went out like a light

Sleeping through the night

Taking a tip from mother nature

A time to regroup and feel refreshed

Let my mind rest

The laundry and the dishes can wait

Cleaning out the refrigerator

Finishing up left overs

Out with the old

Eating up a pear before it turns bad

Making room for new

Life is full of surprises

We just have to find them

Sometimes hidden behind the worst of circumstances

The best is soon to come

annart Winter reminds me to be thankful for all things during the summer. I also like bundling up real warm and walk out in the cold. It feels refreshing. Thank you for reading and sharing.

Yes, keep warm in the winter and recharge the batteries. I love walking out on a crisp winter day, dressed up warm, then coming back to a warm house and relaxing. Winter is for hibernation and reflection!

Judah How quickly things can change when you lose power. A bit scary in the winter when you need the heat or the summer when you can use the air conditioners. We lose power a lot and I am so thankful when the power is returned. Thank you for sharing and giving me much to think about. Have a great night.

Victoria Lynn You also describe me many times. I know there is so many things I want to accomplish and the only way is take one day at a time. I even break it down to say half an hour at a time. If I feel good about myself I am going in the right direction. I try to see what other people do then ask myself look at their results. Do I want to end up the same way. Then I am ready to blaze my own trail. Doing what is best for me. Thank you for reading and sharing. There is no better feeling when two people connect on the same thought and we get to explore our reasons and our happiness.

Yes Dream On, sometimes it is good to be inside warm and comforable. The weather is hot here but we have had storms almost every afternoon and night and we have lost power twice. That certainly gives you the time to get back to the basic and reflect how much you rely on thing like electricity.

OH, wow, nicely said. I can relate. I've been resting the last few days with my lack of motivation, but I have also been doing things to prepare for some changes. This poem is timely. I loved how you expressed what I've been feeling.
