Tribute to the fallen victims of the Aurora Colorado shooting

Updated on July 22, 2012

Innocent Victims -

Some will lose touch with life
Some will lose their lives
Life is something precious
That can only have come from the Sky

Many return to it with honors
Metals attained on the fields of battle
Some return with wounds and scars
Most now part owner of the world up High

Victims have been abused
Taken advantage of and misused
Many have been cheated out of life
But when its all over such things will surely die

I have seen and felt the ruins of man
Life's hurtful game by wicked jeopardy's plan
One thing though I know is
Leaving life unfairly can only embrace the hows and why

All of these poems are dedicated to those fallen victims of the Aurora Colorado Shooting on July 20th 2012

We have suffered a grave loss of life today, and those fallen victims will be truly missed by us all as the people of the globe mourns as well as their families. I pray for the families of all the victims of this senseless tragedy that has occurred today, in hopes that they may have the strength to be able to get through the grieving process to come. I also pray that god could condemn all those who practice such hatred of life, for their insensitive ways and lack of care , respect, or value for life in general & make them stop.

This aspect of humanity as a whole truly needs to change, or we're doomed to repeat such things over and over again. There truly is no excuse for what has occurred there today, may god grant us the power to forgive those for their demented trespasses against humanity, and may we all pray together for healing in that town of Colorado.

Below are additional healing poems, & for those in the world who need it most.

Where is the Love?

A shameful lie

An unrighteous act

A criminal behavior and psychotic snap

Love is what we need to stop this madness

Love over powers all things

false good, The bad

Ugly things like this that turn us sad

Love is the answer,

Lets do away with hatred,

with killings,

with wrong doings,

with lying,

with cheating & stealing

Lets spread the Love! worldwide for once cause its all we really have

We truly need healing in a huge way in our lives and we all need it bad

Relationships are powerful, meeting people and all, get real folks

We are ready aren't we!

God we are ready please send us a sign to put an end to this senselessness

We need to hug one another more often

care for our love ones more often

care for even strangers we don't know at times

An out poring of love needs to blanket the entire earth from the devine

So things like what happened in Colorado in 2012

can finally be put to an end

Because he was one of us

so fragile, once so innocent, and determined to succeed in life

what went wrong

what was he thinking

these are all questions to ponder on

we love him too even though he has put a huge dent in our hearts

This makes me cry to think of humanity

what we have amounted too

what we have done to one another

why? is all we can think

when it happens over and over again

when will it stop

is another

When shall it stop should be Now!!!! no more Brutality,

no more ruthless killings please I beg of you humanity please.......

If He had a love like this, no one would have to go through such a rough reality to bear, We need more love and we need it fast

@raciniwa, oh yes a life absent of love is a lifeless one indeed, and one that may harbor an ill fate for sure.

Thanks for the cool comment and for sharing with me here.

Thank you Lady E, for your prayer, and for commenting so kindly towards me, that was very thoughtful of you to do, love is the key for sure to happiness which would have made a huge difference in the outcome of the ordeal for sure.

I just hope people of the world can learn to spread more love if at all possible towards their loved ones, and anyone for that matter.

Beautiful Tribute - Very touching. I was particularly touched by what you wrote about Love. Where is the love?

When kids/teens have a bad foundation or a foundation with no LOVE and ACCEPTANCE, it can be damaging. Ofcourse I don't excuse what he did but it just made me think, that there is no way anyone who had Love in their heart - would even contemplate doing that. Shocking!!

May the souls of the victims rest in peace.

Thank you CloudExplorer for your tribute to this horrific tragedy in Aurora, Colorado. My heart and prayers go out to the victims and their families. No one should have to loose a family member in this way.

This event takes me to John 15:12 in the Bible. Jesus first commandment to us is that we Love one another as he have Loved us; for he gave his life for us. One of the Ten Commandments is Thou shall not kill. We as a world have gotten away from the will of God and we have to get back.

Thanks again for addressing this tragic event.

Love has a great deal to do with it all for sure, oh yes indeed @Happyboomernurse.

Thanks for sharing with us all, in this joint effort to send all of our prayers out towards the families there in Aurora Colorado, it takes a whole world to help heal such a tragic blow to the families there, and life time wound to all of our hearts, minds, and the human psyche worldwide.

Thank you @LAbrashear for making it here to the tribute, and I'm so happy that many folks are finding this poem tribute to the victims families, its imperative that we show them how we feel, because we are one huge family today, and spread more negativity and hatred against such acts of violence would only perpetuate such activity.

Also thanks for sharing with me, and visiting my corner of hubpages, I'll check you out soon as well, nice to meet ya here.

You've put together a compassionate, thought-provoking hub about a tragedy that has touched the hearts of so many.

My thoughts and prayers are instinctively with the victims and like most people I can't comprehend the brutal act itself.

However, something deep inside me knows that only love can truly change the world and bring light where there is darkness.

Thanks for posting this sensitive tribute to the fallen victims.

I am so glad I stopped by your profile - I would have missed this. Thank you for writing this. I do not live in Aurora - but close enough to be affected. I think so many nationwide are, but especially Colorado. We have been hit by more tragedy than a state should have to endure. I was telling a friend we have such a physically beautiful state with some of the most wonderful people, but we see a lot of tragedy. Your words and those of the folks worldwide have helped. Thank you again!

      WHY?

      You knew me not

      I knew you not

      We did not meet

      I met your feet

      I took the heat

      My last heart beat

      Why?

      My life you choked

      As grim you joked

      A bloody joke

      A fiery joke

      You had your laugh

      You played it tough

      Why?

      You had a choice

      You had a voice

      I got no choice

      You choked my voice

      With all the noise

      My silent voice

      Why?

      Fiery rain

      Fiery pain

      Icy hand

      Delt a hand

      Planned my pain

      Drank my pain

      Why?

      Who are you

      To take my life

      Joke your way

      Through my heart

      Laugh your way

      To my grave

      Have your way

      Through my head

      Shoot your way

      Through my chest

      Do away

      With all my plans

      Who are you

      To make me ask,

      Why?

Thank you Kelleyward for showing us all that you care, we need to perpetuate love, through every mountain top, across every vast ocean, and on every continent today. love is the only way to outshine hatred of self, hatred of others, and most of all hatred of life. We need people to wake up!

Kelleyward your prayers are included here as a forever memory to all of those out here in the world who have been victimized, and God is watching us all, I can feel it.

I hope and pray we can all change to a more lovable group of human beings, and find better ways to work out our issues with the way the world works, and or responds to us today, because surely this isn't the way to do it.

Please god if your out there, please make this one simple request we all have come true. I love us all and even that poor guy, and his family, even if he's the one whom is responsible for this awful crime against the victims in Colorado. We simply need to spread more love!

To the people of Aurora, Colorado

I am writing to you from Iran where the overwhelming pain of this awful tragedy has reached us. I pray for all of the victims of this terrible event to find the strength to carry on at this very difficult time. May the souls of their lost ones be blessed for eternity.

I leave you with the words of our beloved Poet, Saadi of Shiraz:

Of One Essence is the Human Race,

Thusly has Creation put the Base.

      One Limb impacted is sufficient,

For all Others to feel the Mace.

      The Unconcern'd with Others' Plight,

Are but Brutes with Human Face.

May one day, we get to rid this world of hate and violence. Our thoughts are with you.

@lord de cross, Its completely sad that anyone would focus on anything else right now but this type of sad moment that has occurred so many countless times worldwide, it just need to stop.

This is no different from what Bush has done over in Iraq, or the countless ruthless things people have done anywhere else for that matter. Its just senseless, inhumane, and utterly cruel.

May God have mercy on our all of our souls today, because we need a miracle to bring change to our inhumane acts that people tend to commit on the innocent.

Thank you Faith Reaper for extending your prayers for the fallen victims, the Lord is watching us all today, I can sense this in every way, and I also hope we can turn to God rather then focus on things that mankind have remained focused upon, which may have even lead to such a tragedy.

Sad that NRA followers and the ones against them are fighting over regulations instead of life. People and morbidity are paying more attention to this murderer than to the victims. I agree with Faith Reaper, no matter how we put it, we have left God behind. Thanks Mike! Great inspiration from your heart!
