Colors Of You (poem)

Updated on December 29, 2015

What is it you crave for

What is it you starve for

What calls out your name

From the quiet of your life

Searching for reasons

Searching for meaning

Searching in longings

Which doubt has swept away

Under the carpets

Under the covers

Under our pillows

Which bear the end of dreams’ tears

Empty is the thunder which put them there

Constantly pounding to have its own way

Coloring the rainbows it wants you to view

While under the sunshine

A once upon a time

Is waiting starving craving

For one more moment in the sky

Look in the mirror

Look in the person

Look though dreamer’s eyes

At imagined come alive

Paint a world

Colors of you

Love this Martin. The searching sometimes is pointless. Best to look within for our own rainbows. Thank You!

This is remarkable. I see an ebook of poetry in your future? Maybe another of your limericks?

You are very versatile with your poems and this one is different again. Lovely, and I love the rainbow idea rather than painting the town red!

Much different than most of your poems.

I like the rhythm and flow.

Your message brings us the message

      to "Paint the world".

I like it. Great job, Martin!

Wow, Mh, I love the energy of this one, for it keeps one reading at such a pace ... yes, what is it? Wonderful! I really love that song and video, I believe you can fly too.

      Up and more and sharing

      God bless, Faith Reaper
