Come on in, bygone era – the poem

Updated on November 20, 2012

Impression on the sands

If one can preserve

Why do not you stop the wave?

From wiping it away….

Forgotten steps on the mind

If one can retrace

Why do not you step back?

From walking on the sway…..

Come on in, bygone era….

I shall just love to hug you

As you still have some warmth

Which the present can’t renew….!

Then the moonlit

Boulevard of symphony….

Let us walk another mile….

When time is still young

Your eyes smiled

With the shadow of cheery murmur

Hand in hand ….

The two sides of the path walk…

The droplets of glances

Steal the hearts…..

Two sides of a river of tear

Flow side by side….

They are in love

For no destination…

Yet they die for another day

To steal glances from the ray

Love for nothing…

And there we reach the bridge ….

The bridge to meet love…

The bridge to never return…

But the wondering glances do smile…

Two sides of the bridge…

Can’t they bridge the gap yet????

The candle is burning

Illuminating the way to nobody…

Another candle is burning….

My heart is the fuel so far…

If there is smoke..

There is love ample and distant…

A few bridges to cross

To map the road to you

Candle light dinners and roses

To frequent the path…..

Symphony to brighten

The river of smiles….

Tear of love to drop

To stardust the affair….

Come on in, bygone era….

Let us walk hand in hand….

You are the history

I am the mystery….

For once….

We tryst the romance on the bridge

And two sides

Of the bridge

Got married…………

And the candle light burn my heart

To illuminate the moon.

Such a special and beautiful expression of the pleasure in reminiscing our own personal bygone era's. Stellar expression of a love between two people and how it endures over time.

Beautiful poem and I thank you.
