Being With The Lord & Lady

Updated on February 22, 2014

Comfort from Deity

As I sit here
Listening to the music
After the most terrible day
It is then that I close my eyes
And I begin to float away.
My mind drifts to my special place
Where I can truly be free
Of all the burdens
And of all the cares
That have so haunted me.
It is there that I find comfort and solace
In the simplest of things
Like love, laughter, and such
And a peace washes over me
As the Lord and Lady approach.
They stretch out their arms
For a loving embrace
Which takes away the pain
Of everything today
Total healing and contentment.
I do not want to leave this place
But I know I must
For the way of the world
Presses hard upon me
And demands my time.
But I can take the love
Of the Lord and Lady
With me when I return
To all the mundane things
In a mundane world.
