Communication - 51st word in the “Light 2 Love, Good Words Project”

Meaning of communication

Message, Communiqué, Announcement, Statement, Letter, e-mail

What communication means to me:

A verbal connection, an expression of one’s self, an expressed, written or verbal communication of one’s feelings giving understanding of a person’s heart and soul.

Communication

© by Shyron Shenko

Communication is the key

If you want to connect with anyone

Even me

Express your thought

Communicate with those you love

Don’t keep them guessing what you think

If they don’t know

They could be gone before you blink

Connect with those for whom you care

Let them know you’re always there

Don’t let them walk away and never know

How much you love them before they go

Don't be too late to Communicate

To say what needs to be said

No can read what you never wrote

Or hear what you've never said

Communication needs to be clear

Let them know that you’re sincere

Communicate just where you stand

With all the gentle and good words

. . . . . . . . . . . at your command

Call Me Maybe!

I just called to say......

Au fait, thank you so very much for the comment, compliment and for sharing. I know I am one of the things that was cooking this morning, but I was inside when the temperature reached 109° on my indoor/outdoor thermometer.

Blessings and hugs my dear friend.

Came back to share this great poem (and the picture looks so pretty too -- and more so on a day like today when everything is cooking). Communication is so important and it seems to be the one thing that causes most snags in relationships and everything else. People ASSUME, and then things go awry from there. Good communication cannot be overrated. Sharing of course.

      Hi Aufait,

Hope all is good with you! Yes, I am still planning and working on getting this taken care of. It is important to me for it to be put together correctly, I take pride in all what we have accomplished. And I feel that the presentation of it needs to be just as perfect and beautiful as all the hard work that went into it. Sending you blessings...

Came back to share this again. Wondering if Jo still plans to publish these poems for you as discussed previously?

Communication is one of the major reasons why so many things go south -- or rather lack of communication or understanding of communication.

Such an important message--we often ignore the value of it, but I can't think of any relationship where it isn't important

Communication is one of the most important parts of any relationship, and one of the things that is so often ignored and given second place. Well done! Sharing of course.

      Hope you're having a good day! Take care . . .

No we have not looked into Amazon/Kindle, Jo has everything under control.

Sorry I did not get back to you sooner, but Hubby accidently set the tractor on fire, and all day yesterday and today was spent cleaning up.

Everything about us communicates something, but whether or not other people get the intended message is another matter. So often it seems to me, people make assumptions based on nothing. Even when it is based on communication it is often a misunderstood communication. That is the reason so often there are issues and problems between people. They think they got the message, but in fact interpreted it according to their desire instead of what was intended by the person who communicated.

Another one of your great poems. I hope you looked into the Amazon/Kindle info to see about publishing them as a set. Sharing this again.

It's a little cooler outside than it has been, but I'm still sorry you have to be out in it. Take care . . .

Superb message and I love the poetry, especially:

'Don't be too late to Communicate

To say what needs to be said

No one can read what you never wrote

Or hear what you've never said

How true that is! Communication is the key to so much and the answer to solving problems and wars. Shame it's not used well more often.

      Well done, Shyron!

Kevin, thank you for the comment, up votes, pin and sharing.

I believe in total communications not just speaking and hearing. Most people never think about communication any other way, especially if they are not hard of hearing or deaf or know someone who is hard of hearing or deaf. I never thought about it until my son at age three when I learned he is deaf. All three (me and my two babies) went to the Henner Hearing and Speech Center to learn sign language so that I could talk with him and he could understand me. At four he was in a mainstream school, at age six, I got him transferred to a School for the Deaf. Signing, to me is poetry in motion, and most deaf people can read expressions also.

      Blessings and Hugs dear friend.

Communication is an important item in life. We must use it properly for people to hear us and understand what we are saying. I try to do my best by reading, out loud, what I have written to understand whether there is need for improvement on it.

Your Hub was wonderfully written Shyron; I voted it up, shared and pinned it.

We would, I suppose; eating apple together as wife and husband , loving each other while learning to trust and 'obey' the only "father'' - the heavenly Father , Creator of the Universe.

      Blessings , joy and peace.

      In one poem is revealed

a cure, a medicine , a healing to all humans frailty.

Communication back there in the Garden, would still keep us in...

      Voted up and beautiful.

      Peace with us.

Sha, thank you for the visit, comment.

I have lost communication because, I have spoken when I should not have and what I said was taken out of context, so what I meant was not what they heard and when I tried to fix it and apologize they did not want to hear.... but it is what it is, I have to live with what I said.

I hope all is well with you.

      Blessings and Hugs

Au fait, thank you for the comment, compliments up-votes, pin and sharing.

I know first hand the hurt that miscommunication can cause, like the story of the Pilot walking a blind lady's dog. A woman was flying from Seattle to San Francisco . Unexpectedly, the plane was diverted to Sacramento along the way. The flight attendant explained that there would be a delay, and if the passengers wanted to get off the aircraft the plane would re-board in 50 minutes.

Everybody got off the plane except one lady who was blind. A man had noticed her as he walked by and could tell the lady was blind because her guide dog lay quietly underneath the seats in front of her throughout the entire flight.

He could also tell she had flown this very flight before because the pilot approached her, and calling her by name, said, "Kathy, we are in Sacramento for almost an hour. Would you like to get off and stretch your legs?" The blind lady said, "No thanks, but maybe Buddy would like to stretch his legs."

The people in the gate area came to a complete standstill when they looked up and saw the pilot walk off the plane with a guide dog for the blind! Even worse, the pilot was wearing sunglasses!

People scattered. They not only tried to change planes, but they were trying to change airlines!

      True story.....

I am praying that it is not too hot, and that all is well for you. I hope we do not have a scorching summer.

Blessings and hugs, my dear friend.

    • bravewarrior profile image

Shyron, this serves such a good message. Communication is key to expressing opinions, whether we agree with them or not. Whether we like them or not.

I've lost communication with a hubber here because an open mind was not present. We must not take comments or criticism personally; we should gain from them and take a look inside ourselves to see if we're missing what others see.

    • Au fait profile image

C E Clark 2 years ago from North Texas

Communication is usually at the bottom of so many problems because people don't use it effectively. They often choose to ASSUME instead.

There are lots of ways we communicate, not only speaking and writing. Gestures, body language, how we dress, facial expressions. and more.

Voted up and BAUI, pinned to Awesome HubPages and shared!

Hope you are having a great day. Tomorrow is the beginning of Hell -- 90+ degrees everyday. Blessings . . .
