The latest advances in robotics and AI has got me thinking. How will these technology compare to God's creation, for example the average ant.

The ant is a great piece of biological entity. It is small but it has staying power. It has been around a long time and it survived all kinds of extinctions of the past. It begs the question, can we design a machine that compares to the average ant? It will put all our ingenuity to the test.
The ant lives in a communal community under ground. They have developed a system where the individual works to preserve and protect the whole. There are specialized tasks that allow for efficient organizational structure. They communicate efficiently through their antennae. It is an impressive system that we can all appreciate.
The ant is so strong, it can lift 50 times its own body weight. We cannot build a machine today that even come close to that ratio.
The Rise of Machines...
With the technology improvements in robotics, micro miniaturization and artificial intelligence, some belief we are at the cusps of inventing the new generation of human replacements. Not so fast. Here are some basic questions to ponder on.
Can a robot repair itself?
Can a robot reproduce?
Can a robot adapt to changing environments?
Can a robot be water resistant? Rust free?
Can a robot come up with new solutions? Adapt?
There is no doubt many of these can be programmed into the system. AI is developing intelligent learning systems where the robot can "learn" and "think" on its own. However, they can only be as good as their creator - us humans. Guess who created us?

I don't know what the future holds, but as of today in 2017, biological units are much more superior in many ways to mechanical system. In all aspects, energy consumption, adaptability, repairs and healing, reproduction and resilience...there is no comparison.
