Conspiratorial Terms

Updated on July 21, 2015

Conspiratorial Terms

The victims were empty faces,

rare cases,

the detective didn’t know the dead,

so there was little for him to take personally,

but you had to scratch your head,

it was an odd sort,

left up to the circuit court,

with their conspiratorial terms

about back rooms and a hot light,

rabbit punches and no chance to put up a fight,

only the families lose,

while the trial is in session

lawyers confide,

the defendant testified,

as he recalled,

that his confession was obtained

only after he had been mauled

by two detectives who beat him

with a phone book,

it was hate,

the jury was on the hook,

and took the bait,

the legal system missed,

and the case was dismissed.

What a nightmare situation this must be for all those involved in trying to get justice...as always Frank...very nicely done....I would also like to add my sincere sympathies to the people of Connecticut, to have a tragedy on this scale happen so close by Frank must be an horrendous shock to you. Sadly, we know it does happen, it is a scourge of modern times.....but you always think it will be somewhere else and not on your doorstep. Take care my friend, my prayers are with you and all the good people there at this extremely difficult time.

Evil rules supreme today. Justice aborted in the courtroom seems a perfect fit somehow my friend.

      Hi Frank

I wonder how often the jury takes the bate? Great writing as always.

Very sad what happened today in Connecticut. If the shooter was still alive, I would pray that the case would not be dismissed.

      Voted up and awesome.

      Take care

    working
