Conversations With Mr. Subconscious (Poem)

Updated on January 22, 2016

Have Gotten Used To Eating Healthy Enjoyably

Do Not Talk Back To Me

Cannot enjoy my life

if I don’t enjoy the good

I must ignore the strife

And enjoy healthy food.

Didn’t say healthy foods only

But enjoy eating healthy foods

And now I never feel lonely

And don't allow swinging moods

I enjoy drinking healthy water

Because it’s beneficial to well being

It’s more important not to eat pie

And pay attention to what I’m seeing

If it’s going to disfigure me

It’s more important to look appealing

If I eat for hunger or taste

It’s my figure that food is stealing

To attract and keep my mate

Turn down that tasty food

Or I’ll become overweight

And keep treating myself as rude

I don’t want to have a thirst

To be loved by the wrong ones

Under God wellbeing should be first

And avoid the relationship short runs

No excuse for not being in shape

It’s all because of bad food

Mustn’t use food to escape

And treat myself very shrewd

Time to discipline my emotions

And do for me what is best

Try to fix eating commotions

And get my proper rest.

I want my physique back

So that I can attract

That special one for me to love

Yes come to me my sweetest dove.

There Is A Second Chance And A Third

The Subconscious

The subconscious can be the Holy Spirit which is of God Himself. It usually gives you the best option to choose. It behooves you to heed to it.

Oh gosh... I am ashamed to say I got hungry while reading this poem. The mention of food may have tripped my subconscious. LOL.

As a woman who forces herself to go to the gym almost at gunpoint... I can echo a lot in this delightful poem.

Eternal hope to all those trying to get in shape. I enjoyed this hub. :)

This is the only one I have been sent. Good though and love the song. I will check here later if you have link to another, I looked around but don't see anything like you were talking about. I am really late getting notices sometimes. ^

Well thank you and bless you BlossomSB. May you be on your way to having or may you have the look that you are pleased with. As you stated, our bodies are God's temple, we belong to God and many people don't understand that. Thank you for your beautiful and on time comment.

Yes! Our bodies are God's temple and we should respect them and care for them. It's not always easy, but well worth the effort and lots of healthy foods taste good, too.

Yes, you can do it Kim. Must make some changes. Organize your day. Exercise, eat healthy, drink water and maintain a relationship with the Lord.

The older I get, the more challenging it is to stay in shape. I salute you for making the effort. It is not easy.
