Cookie Cutters and Stencils

Updated on April 14, 2011

Cookie cutters and stencils

Perfectly drawn and cut

Defined and outlined with pencil

No given if, ands, or buts!

How perfect would we be?

If we were all the same

With no damage caused to see

We wouldn’t live in shame

Cookie cutters and stencils

Many shapes and sizes

Made of copper or tinsel

They carry different disguises

Neither one the same

Pressed and cut by one hand

Each with a different name

By themselves they all stand

All cut with the same cutter

No one made any better

Voices we all utter

We all carry some kind of letter

Very clever and well snowflakes, we're all different--but so much alike.

kewl, the cookie cutters and stencils are a symbolism for people...we are all different, no one better than anyone else. different shapes and sizes, voices, a letter...a purpose? pressed and cut by one hand...the hand of God. If we were all the same and perfect with no damage to see, then we'd be dull and lifeless and plain, with no colors either. I like it better this way. The way we are.

Nothing so perfectly imperfect than this. How does one define themselves, how can one see, how does one know how truly unique they truly are. Sorry, lovely Your words. Blessings my friend.

I used to feel that the schools were trying to turn out "Cookie Cutter Kids"...but thank goodness my boys made it through, and proved they could THINK for themselves.Good Hub Bella, from one Rebel to Another.
