"Ohio Department of Health issues Stay At Home Order for all Ohio" by NBC4 Columbus

Ohio on Lockdown

Ohio is now on lockdown.
Ordered everyone to stay at home. We are to shelter in place.
This order is effective through April 6, 2020. Then it will be reevaluated.

No More Social Distancing

Gone are the days of social distancing, where we were told to stay at least 6 feet away from others.
I am only to leave house for essentials. Like a trip to the grocery store that has select hours, which right now is useless.
There is not much stock on the shelves. There is still no toilet paper or potatoes. Those necessary items.

Parks Closed For Dogs and People

If you have a dog you can still walk him, but the dog parks are closed. (Our little town only has one)
This counts me out because I do not have a dog.
I am told I can walk outside in my own yard.
Our parks are municipal parks and will be closed. They are taking no chances due to the parks having playgrounds, so gone are the days of getting a bit of fresh air while walking there.

No Contact With Others

I am not to drive across town to just take a drive. Only trips like hospital or doctor’s office are allowed.
The nursing homes and hospitals have already been on lockdown. No visitors allowed. At least the patients have contact with workers.
A person living alone will not have this luxury. No human contact.

My Imagination Will Get Me Through

I know, it’s to help contain the coronavirus, but this is definitely not sitting well with me.
The panic in my town is already bad and this is making it worse.
Neighbors hide inside their homes. Too afraid to talk to anyone.
Thank God, I have a vivid imagination. I will be using it a lot more in the days to follow.

Me neither. I don't remember dealing with anything like this before in my lifetime.

I remember parts of stories my grandmother would share of things she went through. She always told me i was gonna need to learn to cook from scratch.

      Thanks for reading.

So glad you have little creatures keeping you company. They are the best.

Nice your stores still have supplies.

Mine are still without many things...including soup.

Hope you and your Hubby can get together.

This is a terrible time to be away from those you love.

Take care of yourself and give them babies a hug for me.

      I guess that is good.

Are you free to go wherever you like?

All stores and businesses here are closing except for essential life ones.

I hear you. Whenever anyone gets sick i like to clean..even washing pillows and bed linens daily.

For murder?? Yeah, I think they would lock you up for that

It will be a trying time, but I think you and your husband will be just fine.

Just go outside and scream once in awhile.

      Thanks for reading.

We will make it through this! You will be in my thoughts.

      Thanks for reading.

Hi Brenda, California has been in lockdown for a while, I don't even know how long anymore. I live up in the hills in the tiny town of Sutter Creek, occasionally my neighbors will come out to talk and the stores up here still have food and Walmart started handing people the toilet paper and allowed 1 pack per person. It does get lonely at times, luckily I have a cat and a dog. Where my husband lives, Indiana has been making preparations for a lockdown. His work will give him a letter saying he can go to work then back home. He's supposed to come and get me in April but with states shutting down I'm truly afraid.

Prayer is calming and soothing and I look to God for he is still in control.

Thank you for your article and let's keep writing and sharing in our little community here, it sure helps me!

      God bless you all,

      Donna Rayne

Interesting. Pakistan was never safe or predictable, you know, so the coronavirus has hardly changed anything for me.

Brenda, we have two new cases 50 miles from me. I am a cleaning freak but I have nothing left to clean unless I remove the paint from the furniture! LOL My husband is about to get on my last nerves. I wonder if we still get time for murder. Just kidding?

Hi Brenda, we are also in lockdown here in India. It is true what you said about soul searching. This is the time we need to connect to our inner selves and find peace and strength. Then there is a lot of catching up on the reading too. I hope we will all come out of it successful and a whole lot stronger.

Thanks for the hugs and yes I could picture the butterflies.

All will be well as long as I can keep the boredom at bay.

I believe I have almost everything I need, so here's to a new type of vacation.

Could be rather interesting...maybe some deep soul searching along the way.

      Take care. Hugs!!

With imagination and strong will we will be fine.

      Thank you.

I do believe fear will make people's health issues worse.

I will be fine. I found some interesting things on tv from music videos to exercise. I will change up my routine each day hoping the boredom doesn't get to me.

It will eventually get better. I talked with someone last night who is in day 52 of lockdown, but only 5 new cases reported so it does work.

      Have a great day.

I feel for you, Brenda, but then I feel for me. Chuckle. I'm alone at home too. Seems like we will have to do some across- the world-connecting. I will send you some love and you will send me some, right?

I'm doing some floor exercises. I'll nearly due ... in fact I am due but the food is still heavy in my stomach. 30 mins maybe. Stay strong! You will be fine! Much Peace ... no, hugs ... do you feel it? Coloured butterflies ... do you see them? Take care.

Unfortunately this seems to be the only way to stop the virus spreading. I think we will all surprise ourselves at just how creative we can become. Unfortunately fear creates anxiety and this can lead to other more serious mental issues. We are all in this together and we will come out the other side. Keep strong and stay safe Brenda.

Thanks. I know I will make it, but I am going to have to get creative.

Maybe do different things each day. Hopefully the sun will come out with no rain...that would be great.

Stay safe. I hope this doesn't last too long.

I watched a video earlier where a country has been on lockdown for 52 days, but tge virus is getting smaller as far as new cases.

      Try to enjoy your lockdown.

I like your hub, Brenda. Everything is shut down and no human contact is allowed. It is getting close to that here also. Let hope and faith guide us right along. Stay safe.

We are on lockdown too here in Illinois. I can understand how you feel. It's hard to just stay in, but I believe it will help to stop the virus to spread more. Hopefully it will not last long. Hang in there Brenda!
