Count to Ten and a Short Walk

Updated on June 19, 2012

Two for One Poems

Count to Ten

When you’re angry
with someone
over some issues
they’ve down
So angry your thoughts
turn to gray
you want to send words
their way
Count to ten
before you begin
think of the good
about them
Think of the nice
words said
Think about why
you liked them
in the very first place
Then and only then
Speak your mind

A Short Walk Through Joy

My life may not be—
--filled with bliss
--a wonderful delight
--times I relish
--moments of glee

But I know if—
--I focus on happiness
--look for the joy
--be of good cheer
--have a little gladness
I will be a well-being

You are a stupendous writer whitt.

This is so true. Nine times out of then, once you've cooled off the original issue doesn't seem so bad any more.

      Voting awesome beautiful interesting beautiful
