Crashing The Matrix - Our Voices Day 12

Updated on July 3, 2013

I can tell Bullshit a mile away

Your cyber shit stinks of false pretences

Only phony so-called funny fake crap gets praised today

41 seconds of fluff or is it 17

While grave diggers continue prepping your 6 foot hole

Most definitely before you get a chance to think twice of where you prefer placement

This is the truth hidden behind false realities

Misconceptions driving your eyes crazy

Watching lunatics freaks of digital nature and the likes make a fool out of humanity

Billions of views on Youtube to the most ridiculous, outrageous, or outlandish pieces of trash

Dizzy motives of false followers and those pretending to be leaders today

When in fact their all gargoyles in disguise

Evil doers who go at all extents and extremes to destroy and use others

This is where the online world has lead us all

This is what we’ve amounted too

Fees being charged on all accounts for this crappy poor excuse of a cyber existence

NEO playing his replication games again flying above the clouds

Knowing damn well he had strings attached to his superman stunt moves

Agent Smith content scraping his fake identities all across this national grid

A massive digital Boom! Is heard from here to Google

As it all comes crashing down once and for all

No more circles

No more tweets

No more stumbles

No more watching silly cats or babies winning the online virtual stats races

No more crazy old dude’s dancing like lunatics across the screen neither

to attempt to rule this virtual world

The machine world has been reset back to day one

Where type writers had ruled the day and a television set

was glorified as the ultimate programmer

This poem isn't meant to be taken literally

Shutting off your gadgets is the idea, taking a break or vacation from it all once in a blue moon, to enjoy real life is the focus, and that is all folks!

Thanks for giving my poetry a try, and catch you in the comment space if anything at all. Cheers to awesome poetry, poets and the likes.

@Gypsy, Yeah the cyber world is full of twists and turns, ups and downs, and all. This poem however is meant to open minds a bit to shutting it down so the get some fresh air.

I like to think of The Matrix as existing purely in our mind, as many of us we allow these machines to dictate to us whatever we choose to watch, be entertained by, to absorb, and to engage with.

So I believe you are right, we simply need to find a balance with it all, but surely not to go as extreme as many of us have somewhat been forced to do, and due to feeling the need to earn the only income streams left available for many worldwide.

Thanks again for commenting and for sharing.

Mike as unfortunate as it is the cyber world is here to stay. In my case it saves me from a lot of depressing thoughts, connects me with friends, and gives me an outlet for my writing. Of course that doesn't mean we should forget about the real world away from the comp. Perhaps in a way there can be a normal balance between the two.

Hi Ruby, its crazy this life we lead today, many of us forced to choose cyber life to try and make a living and then there are those criminals out here stealing from us creative folks, and so much other nonsense going on.

It makes me wanna quit at times I must admit, and maybe try to become a normal human being, look for a regular dead end job etc... but we all know where that leads us all too today, just over broke once again. So I will keep steam rolling away here online with all the creatve powers I can manage to muster up, it beats drawing blanks :)

Thanks for the cool comment and for seeing eye to eye with me here.

Rant on man. I agree. I am no longer a facebook fan, so much bull and in your face scams. It is getting more difficult to write on HP, seems substandard is their favorite word...Keep writing....

There's way to much crap that's praised today on Youtube, and not enough love being shown for us normal folks, who go the extra distance everywhere online to put up useful and intelligible content worth looking into and or sharing. The masses online need to know about themselves, so I do it using this form of poetry. It's a shame the world of online everything leans in the directions of nonsense more then anything, so My frustration is with it all and not just on the Youtube platform.

What ever happened to us earning an honest buck here online and even on Hubpages for instance, its all becoming so senseless and a pure waste of investing our time in all actuality, but I'm still here to fight the good battle and will not give up! no matter what occurs.

Thanks for the concern, but I'm really getting tired of the B.S. and I know I'm not alone on this one. Thanks also for sharing your thoughts and for caring to give my poem here a chance.

Yup Yup much of this online nonsense is just that, pure and utter nonsense, because you do your very best to succeed in it all and it delivers us into no mans land for the most part. So I tell it like it is, at the same time we are losing our senses for real life, and something needs to change, and change fast or I believe all hope is lost!

      Thanks for sharing!

What has you so pissed off, Mike? The internet leaves us all open for theft and misguidance and that sucks out loud, but it is what it is and we are forced to be subjected to it unless we choose not to write.

Has something happened in your You Tube channels?

I can SMELL bullshit a mile away .. the average human is inundated with misinformation for that is how they control us .. mass confusion leads to a certain information overload which causes people to block out the noise and only concentrate on the idiotic

Deep. I read a lot of truths in this analysis of what social media has done to us; love the last line about typewriters and televisions. Up, awesome, and interesting.
