Create Thoughts And Put them Into Action

Updated on July 16, 2014

Don't Let Them Slip Away

Write them down instantly

With so many thoughts coming and going

You would be surprised how quickly an idea can be lost

When it is out of mind

It is out of sight

All my good intentions now misplaced

In a far away land now they sit

Their destiny undecided

Until another person tunes in

To the same frequency and connects to the very thought

Where it can be picked up like a wallet

Valuable and kept safe

To be pulled out time after time

When in need

So many ideas can be developed

Hand picked like fresh cut flowers

So beautiful

The wonderful aroma's tickling your senses

Bringing new life and new joys

For everyone to appreciate

It all started with you

Believing in one thought and carrying it through

That's exactly what my dad who was a poet and writer taught me. Jot down all your thoughts as they occur and keep a notepad and pen beside the bed if suddenly inspiration strikes during the night.

Oh definitely! Cash in on your thoughts and write down each idea before it's lost; then write about it before you forget all the thoughts that came with it.

That's so important for writers. We need to be aware of inspiration wherever we go, make notes and act upon them asap!

Great idea for a poem! Ann
