Silently stalking
You while you're walking
With absolutely no one near
Not even a shadow friend I fear
And though sometimes I disappear
Really I am always been here
Lurking, waiting,
As your dreams I am baiting
The way I've baited so many others
From children small to loving mothers
As they sing my praises, I shine my light
And then protect them through the night
Mother to the stars, with clouds as my cover
Always there I seem to hover
Guide to explorers on flying ships
In the sea of stars each one of them dips
Whether it be Winkin, Blinking, Nod
Or another traveler just as odd
There I've been, there I'll always be
As I guide green children to the sea

Strangely beautiful. I don't quite understand all of the lines like

"As I guide green children to the sea."

It's referring to turtles.. When baby turtles hatch from their eggs, they make their way to the ocean using the light of the moon lol
