BOUNTY

Cupid was last seen running from couples instead of to couples…Word has it that he is becoming less visible because of constant threats to his existence.

His once potent arrows are now under scrutiny from the longevity committee who has been monitoring many people who claim they are in love.

Yet for many couples:Touches have been regulated...

Kissing have been regulated and forced to exist with shackles…

Making love no longer can coexist with spontaneity…

Holding and sharing of dreams have been given part time duties.

Fear of losing, fear of departure and fear of love turning into some Air-Jordan’s and finding a new court to play in, weighs heavily in the heart...

Arguments and disagreements have been seen feeding off each other in a frenzy, trying to mate and give birth to a child named Departure.

It has happened before, it will happen again; If love is not protected, if love is not watered, It will not grow, it will wilt and look like imitation silk…

It will appear strong on the outside but be dying on the inside.

When the intimate talks become terse, love is sending out a distress signal.

Lovers beware there is a bounty on Cupid's Head.

Word has it that Cupid and his arrows are on lockdown and he is on a Twenty-Four Hour, around the Clock, Suicide Watch.

Loved the poem but it doesn't sound like poor cupid is doing very well. In this fast frenzied world we live in today- less and less people are slowing down to say and or to show their love to that special someone. Instead they keep putting it off- many will leave it too late- finding out their loved one is no more. Hope you will stop by for a visit Poetic Word Bird take care and remember to let your loved one (s) know that you love them! pam:)
