Cute Mr Gallic Rooster,Go Back Home !

Updated on June 18, 2013

I dedicate it to the Anti- Colonial freedom fighters in Mali.

~`~`~`~`~`~`~`~`~`~`~`~`~`~`~`~`~`~`

Just another war

Fighting insurgents in Mali

Call in the Air Force to throw loads of drones

on kids,tents,palm trees

Just an other war

an other cold machine

destroying bricks

reaping souls

Leaving eternal scars,pain and hate.

Who gives birth to this war?

Is it the greed for power?

Is it Islam

that craves for more and more freedom?

Is it the I in you and me '

dreaming to be the crowning glory?

I am asking you Mr Cute Gallic Rooster

Who brings you here?

Is it the need of flexing muscles and

marketing the weapons for the likely broke French arms industries?

Or is it the devils that sits in your eyes

lighting like a forest fire?

Or just simply the longing to revive the old times?.

Dream on!Pigs might fly!

If you think you are still that powerful

Or that you can blast us into the outer space

Or bring us down to our knees and cry:Pity.

Wake up and smell coffee O' Mr Gallic Rooster

The Golden era when you plunder and pillage like a lion is

gone once and forever.

It's true we are bankrupt

No penny

No gas

Just dates

and camels

But we are staying here as a thorn in your flesh

as a piece of glass in your throat

Get your feathers together asap

and hit the road back to your digs

The dust storm is coming ,for sure,

carrying the hot sand

millions tons of stinging,

blinding black dirt as a perpetual cloak of shame

Layer-by-layer,you will be buried so deep in the trash of history!

Oh sorry :)Maybe you have heard recently of the French intervention/invasion in Mali, country south of Algeria, because the West were afraid of the nationalist movement ,Ansar Al Deen ,which want to rule the country independently from France and want to break loose from the western lifestyle by adapting Islam,so they were almost to capture the capital in the south and almost to announce the Islamic Republic. The European media tries to distort their image by associating them to Al Quaeda and also France interfered there because, according to some articles i read recently many French arms industries were about to close its doors and also trying to convince the Emirates to buy French weapons.I am afraid things has taken other directions, away from what they planned,as an example of that look what is happening in Algeria. Many Americans and Europeans were kidnappedas a reaction to the intervention/invasion of Mali.Any question I am here to explain:)

      Many Blessings to you.

Well James this is a very political piece of poetry . your views are espoused but to claim these islamists are for the people can not be justified. Why are they killing the people themselves in the name of Allh?

In which country ?Mali or Algeria or you mean both?

      either... or..

there have been more innocent people killed in the name of GoD and peace (Allah, Jesus,Budda, just to name a few) than all wars or otherwise on this earth. So to try to say one particular religion is killing in the name of any religion or the good of the people to overthrow oppression is wrong .. Am I right or not?

Thank you for this. Sadly, my friend, war is not about freedom. It is about something else. (Just my observation)

@Cleaner3,I agree killing innocent people in the name of God is not acceptable in any religion.Killing is not the way of Islam unless faith, progeny, property, territory and dignity are physically threatened, requiring self-defence. In Islam, killing is juridical, not different from the conduct of rule of law in Western courts such as in the US:(By way of justice) declares the Noble Book. So,Islam is not alone in its claim for universalism through which it valourises equality before the law of all humans ,even if the practical record of this in modern times does not marshal supportive evidence to be proud of under all kinds of jingoistic and chauvinistic brands of rule. Establishment of justice is one constant in the sayings and deeds of the last Prophet of Islam,Mohamed (peace be upon him) Moreover, Islam forbids the excesses of vengeance and retaliation, it even leaves open the opportunity for forgiveness for those who have the lightness and wisdom of granting it.
