Cycle (A Poem)

Updated on December 22, 2010

Pray for the life that has been lost,

Pray for the life that has been taken,

Pray for the life that was never given,

The chance to live life,

Lest we wait on endless dreams,

As for me, I yearn to pray,

For the day a life is born,

And the world will be their empire,

And their dreams the sweetest of dreams,

I pray for the life I created,

And the life with which I mated,

To create a beautiful soul,

In which my arms will carry,

Across the world,

I pray for the life of two,

And do not pray for my own,

For death is to life,

As sky is to earth,

I pray for unending life to her,

And also the soul of the life,

I will create,

My undying love for them,

I will make.

No I've been writing poetry for a long time, this is one of my older poems I figured I'd put out there just to see what I got. I'm glad you like it.
