DESTROYING MY HUMAN SIDE ORDER TO BE HAPPY

Updated on March 25, 2016

JOHAN AND ALF

The following story tells the the life of a woman who is obliged to emigrate to the United States of America in search of a better future for her and her entire family.

But at the same time, it reflects the situation of many women in equal circuntancias.

Around the world, many people, men and women living in extreme poverty, who dream of finding the right way to give a twist to your destination.

Johan, was sitting in the chair number 207 of airplane of airline Delta, at the airport of black Rio, Department of Antioquia, Republic of Colombia, about to take off, bound for the city of Bogotá.

And while she waited to the plane takes off, She watched carefully the sky through the small window next to his seat.

She pays much attention to rhythmic movement of the clouds that were walking proud, in the air waving their indelible bright white color.

Walked together without hurry one next to each other, smiling happily as they received on their beautiful bodies, the warm rays of sunshine and enjoyed the breathtaking view of the perfect sky, of deep blue color that seemed meet the sea in the distance.

Looking skyward, Johan wanted to avoid that the thoughts came to his mind to disturb her. MIillones of bad ideas seized her brain without permission, like tiny hot iron filings freshly melted.

But stop thinking was impossible, because soon her evocations returned harder, bringing her memory the sad faces of her three young children, their expressive and beautiful black eyes full of tears, and their tender and soft voice that cut off by talking, when they asked mom, all of these at the same time, with their innocent of children, mommy because you go? Is it our fault? What did we did wrong?

And then, the crumpled and tired face of her elderly mother, who seemed to shoulder the burden of a long life full of hardship and unmet needs, who reflect in her eyes a sincere concern for the uncertain future of the whole family.

When Johan decided to leave home to go to a strange country, without family or friends or acquaintances, to meet a man, with which only had exchanged e-mails, photos and phone calls for some time, but who did not really know who or as it was, Fatima, Johan's mother, had lost its tranquility.

The four, her three children and her mother, said goodbye her from the old balcony of the house, moving their hands from side to side.

We love you mom, children shouted, we will miss you a lot and we will count the days from today, until you return. Mommy please, do not delay, come back soon, we need you.

Johan could not answer anything, the pain in her heart, prevented her from speaking, it was like having a huge sword stuck in her chest that crossed her from side to side hard and unmercifully repeatedly, puncturing her soul.

Then she just smile at them and send them kisses with her hands, before getting into the taxi that would take her to the airport, where were waiting for her three sisters Mery, Hortensia and Anita, sitting in the back.

Johan back to reality for a moment on the chair that airplane, she began to mourn bitterly until her makeup ran.

Desperately but quietly, Johan ordered her mind stop, but it ignored her, in fact it never obeyed her.

The image of the journey from home to the airport would remain reflected in her memory forever, as the canvas of the artwork of a famous painter, immortalized with time.

Johan did not take her eyes off the newly paved streets with a mixture of sand, cement and tar.

Those beautiful cottages to board the road, which were owned by the richest landowners in eastern Antioquia, had in their windows flower ornaments of all colors and its doors had been painted the same shade of flowers.

Small and quaint cottages, all equal in size and shape, which they resemble those of children's stories that her mother told them when she and her brothers were just kids.

On both sides of the road, had many rows of trees of green leaves, embellished with the first morning dew.

The entire set of houses, flowers, trees, fruits and leaves, were an extraordinary and unique landscape that was the pride of the region and the must-see attraction for thousands of tourists who came to the city from around the world.

But while Johan admired the sheer beauty of this watercolor, a strange sense of grief washed over her, because she had the sad certainty that her eyes never again contemplate it.

Johan did not stop mourn and although not want to remember the tedious farewell speech of Mery, her older sister could not help it.

Dear sister, forgive me if I butting into your affairs, but only you, can think in this stupid idea of go so far for the love of a man who did not even you know, being irresponsibly and abandoning your children and my mom to their fate.

Mery spoke in a tone of scorn and reproach.

like a venomous snake, he exuded all their toxicity on pained conscience of Johan, and while all of they sat at the main airport cafe for take breakfast before leaving.

How easy, thought Johan, it was too easy for her, reproach and point out all my actions as if they were defects, without knowing my reasons and knowing that she never in life did nothing to help me.

She remembered also how badly made her feel the feigned hugs of Anita and Hortensia, her two younger sisters, when, about to retire, they said to her, go quiet sister, that while you're outside, your kids and my mom, nothing will be missing. That is our promise.

But Johan, perfectly knew that was a vile and very sarcastica lie, Aja, She thought, of course ! What easy they forgot that over two years ago that neither see me, nor they speak me, and that none of them were interested in our luck.

And that was true, the last time they met in family, was two years ago at the Christmas party at the home of Gus, the older brother of Johan.

At that time Johan still not lived with her mother.

To her seemed very strange to be invited, as they almost never took her into account for any family event because she was the poorest of all, the divorcee, whom had no steady job, who was full of economic problems, who had three small children, that bothered too much, and to complete, whom some years ago, doctors had found him a serious problem in his heart.

These were reasons enough to be considered persona non grata, such as she was called some members of his family, except Gus.

So that Johan did not want to go, but she did not want to snub the only brother who treated her with respect.

The party began and everything was great, they ate, drank, danced and exchanged gifts.

Hortensia, took liquor without moderation and soon got drunk and as the drunkards do not tolerate anything, she was angry because the children of Johan were playing ball with her cousins, running around the house and not let her dance.

Suddenly, Hortensia became hysterical and in a fit of rage, she took Margie, the youngest daughter of Johan, by her hair, and threw her to the ground without considering the consequences.

As expected, Johan was incensed and demanded her daring sister. But she, completely drunk and beside himself, pounced against Johan, which wounded wolf, wanting to destroy her prey, and also hit her.

But Johan did not flinch, unlike, she faced with bravery and courage with Hortensia, with bumps, scratches and kicks to defend his daughter.

Then Gus was also exasperated and very badly, demanded to Johan immediately leave his house.

Do not talk to me, just get out of here! He shouted her.

Johan took her children and went out of there as fast as he could, with tears of helplessness in his eyes because of the injustice that they were subjected.

They had to walk for several hours to get home, because Johan had no money. Gus had invited her with the promise that he would pay the transportation to return.

She was very sorry to have attended that party, knowing perfectly that her sisters not loved her. It was not the first time that she and her children were mistreated for them.

But Johan she had not learned the lesson despite all their sufferings. She believed that one day, her family would change, she wanted everyone to live in harmony.

The toes of johan and her children got broke, by walking much, and all of they had to stay home two days to recover, losing work and school.

That day, Johan vowed never again return to go to any family party and so far, she had met.
