Samuel Malik Canty: the Word Bird. I am the author of Four Poetry Books, I understand my Purpose, and my words are my proof...

True healing can only come with the acceptance of those truths that we know are self-evident.

Don’t be scared of the words that make you contemplate and adjust to the messages that seems to penetrate in your mind and make you anxious for change.

Don’t be scared of the thoughts that make you want to shut down on past behavior that has stalled your growth.

Don’t be scared of that powerful mind that you possess, it is God given.

Don’t be scared of White folks, Black folks, or Any folks that make you culturally ashamed of your race and heritage.

You owe it to your ancestors to remain dignified and proud all the time.

Racial pride does not have to mate with prejudice in order to be effective.

Don’t be scared to say; It hurts, forgive me, I love you, I miss you and any other terms needed to keep your relationship growing strong and lasting long.

Don’t be scared to say, "It’s my fault, I need help, I am not a robot, don’t go…"

We have become so conditioned to the art of concealment that true emotions are most often kept in check while tolerance is allowed to exist openly and continuously.

Don’t be scared to Live, to Speak the thoughts of your mind, to be beautiful in the mirrors of your own eyes, to soar on the wings of confidence…

Don’t be scared even if they don’t like you anymore because the New You frightens them and they like the Old You better.

Upwards… Upwards… You heard the call, now fulfill your destiny!

Thank you for your comments. Fear truly is the Mind Killer.

Beautiful words. Living in fear doesn't allow growth, only more fear.

      Very nice. Thumbs up!
