Dad’s Wish Come True (limerick)

Updated on July 11, 2012

Guess again

My son can’t you act more like me

Said dad when I’d act youthfully

So what could I do

His dream must come true

Time flew and I grew old as he

It always happens, mhatter. One day you might be as old as he is!

Father's wish came true! Not what he had expected at all. I am starting to think that people who wish for their kids to follow in their own footsteps are people who do not want to be forgotten when they pass on. They want to leave a legacy through their children and in this way they themselves will not be forgotten. I am not saying it the right or wrong thing to do, it is just all about perspective. But great this was great! I want to share it with my mother.

That sounds exactly like my father when I was young but now that I have a son he is the exact opposite and tells me to stop trying to make my son grow up lol voted up and awesome.
