Dancing With Dreams

Updated on January 25, 2017

On distant shores

My dreams alight

Resting carelessly

All through the night

The pain and the struggle

They know not of

Sleeping tucked far away

In a haven of love

Oh truest of hearts

Dare not skip a beat

With the ponder of thought

Perhaps one day to meet

The warmth of fine sand

Brightly lit by the sun

Where a girl and her dreams

Are found dancing as one...

Thank you very much! I appreciate the feedback- it gives encouragement. This one kind of came to me during a difficult time when I felt every dream I have ever had-just kind of faded-because I felt so distant from them in my heart-even the vision of them had faded so much due to so much disappointment and demanding circumstances, etc. And I just imagined those dreams were tucked somewhere far away- still out there somewhere- safely stored- just temporarily out of reach. And, of course, the new dream was that I would one day- be reconciled with those dreams of old... or who knows- perhaps those old dreams- will be replaced by brand new ones! Hey, now that could be a new poem! Cool! Thanks again- you got me to brainstorming...Have a blessed Easter!
