Danglers

Updated on May 15, 2015

She is vibrant blue
And I am radiant red.
And in the corner
Are two soft beds.

There are dangling knives
And limp marionettes.
Her eyes are sunk into her head
And my legs are cut from where I sit.

Skin is painted on
And color is brought to life.
The wires cut into flesh
And my teeth are strung together.

Her fingers are purple
And mine are blue.
His eyes are black
And the strings are clear.

The stage is set
And the lights are bright.
Our limbs at harnessed
And our bones are cracked.

We dance
And twirl
And spin along.

We dance
And twirl
And spin again.

We dance
And twirl
And our necks
Are snapped.
