Dante vs Deadpool

Updated on July 16, 2012

Dante and Deadpool are two of the coolest superheroes we have today. Although I can’t totally say that Deadpool is a superhero as he works as an assassin, majority of his kills are people who are involved in heinous crimes and basically deserves death. On the other hand, Dante is a demon-hunter who constantly seeks for his purpose. He tends to be unstoppable especially if someone dear to him is in great danger. Fueled by his anger and determination to eliminate evil, Dante is unstoppable in making havoc towards enemy ranks. Surprisingly, both of them have numerous similarities. First, they are often misunderstood. Mainly because of their weapons and attitude, they are regarded by most of their first time acquaintances as an enemy. Second, both of them use a sword and various guns making them really look extra cool. Finally, their fighting skills are almost unmatched. They both have superhuman regeneration as well. What will happen if these two amazing superheroes clash in a duel? Will the half-demon be enough to stop the rampaging masked renegade? What will be the outcome in Dante vs Deadpool?

Dante

Real Name: Dante

Place of Birth: unknown

Gender: Male

Height: 6'2"-6'4"

Weight: 220 lbs.

Powers: Superhuman strength, heightened regeneration, great fighting skills, master of numerous weapons, demonic skills

Brief History: The star of Capcom's Devil May Cry series since 2001, Dante is the son of the legendary Sparda, a devil lieutenant with a heart for humans who turned against the Devil Prince more than 2,000 years ago. He conquered the devil, permanently trapping him, and then left his evil past and the Underworld, so as to live with humankind. He married a woman who bore a half-devil, half-man child, Dante.

Strengths and Weaknesses: Dante is a demon-killer who eliminates his foes with guns and swords. Probably his main strength is his determination to conquer evil and bring upon peace. Even the mightiest demons can’t stop Dante from achieving his goals. His demon properties gave him amazing strength and speed. Dante’s combat skills are almost unmatched. The rare and powerful weapons he acquired during his quests made him even a much formidable opponent to anyone who dare challenge him. In my opinion, Dante’s weakness is his impatience. He tends to rush in fighting enemies even without gauging their abilities first. Although he often gets through any ordeal and overpower all the demons he encounters, he’ll definitely be in big trouble if he meets a foe who is far superior to him. He never backs down to a battle so he will surely face death once he met his match.

Deadpool

Real Name: Wade Wilson

Place of Birth: Somewhere in Canada

Gender: Male

Height: 6 '2"

Weight: 210 lbs.

Powers: Excellent all-around combat skills, super regeneration rate making him almost an immortal

Brief History: Wade Wilson’s childhood is nothing but worst. His mother died from cancer while his father was physically abusive. During Wade’s teen years, he often goes out with his friends and slack aiming to spite his father. Nonetheless, his father was killed by one of his friend because of an incident. From that day onwards, Wade decided to be an assassin targeting only those who are not deserving to live such as crime lords, drug dealers, and others. He faced numerous challenges until he ended up as a lab rat where he gained all his powers and abilities. His experiences as an assassin somehow corrupted his ideals making it hard to determine whether Deadpool is a hero or not. He was hired to kill Cable but was defeated and later on teamed up with him. Deadpool’s name is feared by both good and evil. His exciting attitude and unpredictability made Deadpool one of the most sought-after superhero characters today.

Strengths and Weaknesses: You can’t kill Deadpool through guns and bullets. Severing any part of his body won’t do as well as he can easily attach them back. This super regeneration ability made Deadpool a very challenging enemy. Only a few can keep up to his fast paced combat style. He has numerous guns and often uses them as a form of distraction and assassinate with his enemies through an instant strike using his fine blade. Deadpool’s ability to hide in the shadows and swiftly infiltrate a facility with seeming impenetrable security made him known in the assassin’s word. Probably the only weakness of Deadpool is his lack of strength. He relies entirely on his weapons for offense. He may be well-versed in hand to hand combat yet he doesn’t boast superhuman strength like most superhero does. It will be impossible for him to defeat an enemy who can render his guns and sword useless. This weakness can be easily observed when he and the entire Weapon X team faced the Hulk and all of them were annihilated.

The Battle:

Deadpool decided to lay low after recently annihilating a big time crime lord. No one knows that he is staying at a rundown apartment in New York. However, he was surprised to see a weird invitation hanged on his window. The letter seems to be written with blood. He looked around and found no one. As he read through the letter, he discovered that is was an assassination assignment. The client instructed him to find a life-size mirror and say a couple of Latin words that he seems can’t understand. Deadpool was reluctant at first yet his curiosity won. After following all the instructions stated in the letter, a demon went out from the mirror in front of him. He stood guard and pointed his weapons to the creature. Deadpool was surprised to know that the demon was his client and his next target was a demon-hunter named Dante. Deadpool was not interested about the bounty but the fact that his target seems to be a worthy opponent excited him. Dante, on the other hand, was sitting lazed in his bar. It appears to be a good day for a walk so he got his gears and started walking towards the door. Just when he was about to grab the doorknob, a barrage of gunshots almost caught him off guard. We quickly used one of the bar tables as a shield and waited for the onslaught to stop. Silence followed yet Dante can still hear the sound of bullet shells falling on the floor. He peeped to know who his enemy was but he was welcomed with a powerful slice that was able to cut a few of his hair strands. He slightly backed off and finally confronted his enemy. It was Deadpool. Dante know nothing about Deadpool’s intentions and don’t really care. He basically wants to return the favor. Dante drew his guns and started shooting Deadpool with great accuracy. Deadpool did the same thing as well. None of them dodged a single bullet yet the two mighty warriors were still standing. Dante smiled as he realized that their guns were useless. Both of them dropped their guns and drawn their swords. The swordfight was intense and fierce. Dante was able to connect yet Deadpool’s extreme regeneration almost rendered his attacks completely useless. The case is also the same on Deadpool’s perspective. No matter how much he slices Dante, his strength does not wither and at some point even strengthens. The duel went on until both of them seem to run out of stamina. Dante’s bar was totally wrecked so they decided to go outside for the final confrontation. Dante fixed his wounds and wiped his sword. Deadpool on the other hand was simply staring at his target and was always ready to attack. As Dante made his move, Deadpool approached him with amazing speed. Their blades met then blood splattered. One man, or shall I say half-demon went down. Dante was defeated. Deadpool knelt due to exhaustion. He was also at his limits yet fate seemed to favor him that day. Dante was alive when Deadpool left as he vowed to eliminate only those who do wrong. He then met with his demon client and killed it.
