Dark Keepers Profile

Updated on September 3, 2014

Everything Cold

It was a rat,

or a cat,

a great curved tail,

frozen in the air,

shivered once,

and she would fail,

a searing light hit her eyes,

only darkness cries,

and nothing was showing,

the entire room was black,

and her face was still glowing,

death would attack,

as the fear kept growing,

she fell to her knees,

eyes blazing,

darkness descended,

and it took hold,

numbness came over her body,

left everything cold.

Clutching For The Railings

The night curving into night

was stunning,

the stars were bright,

but what he saw in her face was cunning,

he was feeling a terrible exasperation,

then she offered,

and there was temptation,

she raised her hand,

a slight command,

and he shrank,

clutching for the railing,

his heart sank,

and reality went sailing,

emotions flailing,

and he felt oppressed and weak,

she was an illusion,

but a possibility to a conclusion,

then he heard the priest say,

grab God’s hand,

as he takes you away,

staring into darkness at first,

and holding it tight,

eyes white,

as he went into the light.

I'm very envious of people who can write such wonderful poetry. I absolutely loved this and have bookmarked it as a favourite. Great piece of writing.
