Darkness Hides

Updated on January 22, 2012
Source

Glimmering lights, unveiling

Thickness of shadows, dissolving

Dominance of darkness, awaiting

The dismissal of the sun

The time of night, surrenders

To the presence of the day

Creating fates, during waking

Carried out, in dreaming

Locked in place by nightmares

Roaming free in sleeping

Silhouettes of blackness, creeping

Stalking, closing in, discretely

But, still…

In fear, cowering

As warming rays

Begin seeping

Through life’s cracks

And blinded hearts start seeing

And numbed nerve endings

Finally… start feeling

Unconscious minds awaken

With the rising

Of the shining

The borderline between dream and reality is an elusive veil that only exists within our mind, the question is which world is home...

When the lucid unconsciousness rises into the shining...is,to me,the singularity event that will cause enlightenment for one person and an earth-shaking revelation to the masses.;;))

The evolution of dualism! We are dark and light, good and evil, symbiotic and always re-creating.

      Nicely framed Ben. Well done.

The boy poet has picked up his pen again, nice!

This makes me reflect on my two realities. That which lives in the night and that which lives in the day and how each feeds the other. I'm not sure who is closer to the real me the one who rises with the shining or the one that roams free with the dismissal of the sun.

Saddle, my mind pisses me off lol. I wrote this at work on a little notepad, and I simply had no choice but to do it. Random inspiration seems to be endless. Thanks for the support, as always my friend!

I tend to agree with my fellow scribe Wayne Brown, however I like your twisted mind, it lends itself well to the macabre. Like a Stephen Spielberg and Stephen King combined together, you bring to life the dark, deep and mysterious.

Where have you been my poetic young friend, out their chasing all those young damsels all about:0) Good for you, I did the same when I was your age. Nice to see you back Ben, keep writing, were reading and I do enjoy your twists.

Thank you Wayne...It's somewhat simple, but in my own twisted mind, it always follows endless rabbit holes. I appreciate the read, Sir.

That one is way too deep for me, Ben...it is intriguing though and paints quite the mental imagery. WB
