Darkness Hungering

Updated on June 19, 2013

Sadness on her Face ( Poem Two )

She was being solicitous,

and there was sadness on her face,

it stayed with her at its own pace,

her darkness was a symbol, a token,

these words were written, and spoken,

sorrow came after she cried,

she couldn’t hold back the tears,

but she tried,

her skin wrinkled, and dried,

and the insects were everywhere,

they would attack,

and that fear was clear,

as the angels above sadly wept,

and the insects fed on a small boy

when the boy slept,

there was sadness on her face,

but on the boy’s face,

there wasn’t a trace.

Darkness Hungering ( Poem One )

The fear was imminent,

and even through the silence,

it was heard,

the darkness hungering

after every spoken word,

his thoughts stumbling,

his nerves tumbling,

he couldn’t gain control,

he was like a lost soul,

the sweat broke out fresh,

he was shaking, trembling,

and the demon stood next to him, pressing,

and the mood was depressing,

it had worsen with age,

then the demon turned on him suddenly,

his voice dropping with repressed rage,

but he didn’t stay,

he ran without looking away,

the demon just watched,

a frantic, lanky figure in black,

avoided the demonic attack.
