Darling gone
God takes charge of his garden and at his own time, he looks down from Heaven and plugs the most beautiful flower from it...
When i first met you,i took a glance at you and asked myself;
Could this be her?
Walking towards you with a smile
Calling out to you as you walked the stairway
Waving at you to halt
The smile on your face and the look in your eyes
The texture of your skin and the scent of your body
O Darling,
I still remember how you ignored everyone and waited patiently for me, you told me your name before i asked and that alone made me fell in love with you, i decided instantly to be your everlasting fan...
We talked and walked into the Embassy's conference room together and so many people thought that i was your secret lover...
I heard you when you told the lady on white that i was just a fan
Of course darling,i was but never knew that it will not last for a long time
Baby,
I wanted to be your hero
I wanted to be your fan
I wanted to watch all your matches
I wanted to be outside the ring
I wanted to follow you to gym
I wanted to be your best friend
I called you on the phone and we talked about visiting Nigeria...
You did not hide your feelings from me
You trusted me from the first day
You gave me your words
You told me about your aspirations
You talked about child labor
You talked about domestic violence
O Angel
You were a darling to many
A source of inspiration to youths
You were a motivator
Darling gone too soon
It all started at a tender age
You crossed all boaders
You won them all
This hub is in remembrance of my dear friend Jisselle Salandy, a Trinidadian and the First female Light Middleweight to unify the division and capture the WBC Female, WBA Female and the WIBA title.
I met this Darling who was not just a friend but like a younger sister to me at the Nigeria Embassy in Trinidad and Tobago but despite her fame and social status, she gave me audience and that triggered what i will simply call TRUE FRIENDSHIP.
I called her LADY TYSON
She laughed at my gesture
She is the greatest
So many avoided her
I once told her that i could beat her
"Not in the ring she joked"
My darling gone
You are gone
Will always be remembered
For the lives you touched
For those you inspired
For the love you left for us
Darling,
You are gone but
You are not alone
Always rest in the bosom of God Almighty.
Darling

Your life was short
Your victories were many
Our friendship was short
But i will always remember you
"If wishes were horse, you will fight this December"
Jisselle Salandy died at the Port-of-Spain General Hospital on January 4th shortly after crashing her car in a concrete pole on the outskirts of Port-of-Spain while returning from the Piarco Int airport.
I was short of words when the news got to me that morning,i was in the Church when the pastor broke the news though i lost words to ever express my heartbreak and lost tears because everything in me dried up
But you know what Darling?
Angels come and go and you finished all you came to do quit on time.
