Day By Day in Paradise

Updated on November 11, 2013

No matter

What troubles we may face

You and I

We’re living in paradise

Take a look about you

See the homeless

Their hands outstretched

Their eyes beseeching

You have all that you desire

And if at times

You find that there are worries

Life is never easy

Yet, when you lay down at night

Your head will have a soft pillow

While there are those who

Sleep on the pavement

With their head resting on a stone

Take a look at the dirty faces

Of children begging in the streets

Open up your heart

And help to make them smile again

Each and every day you return

To your paradise on earth

The place you call home

Among your family and friends

Yet, on the cold and dark street

There are people

Who don’t wish to be there

They have no life or future

And even a kind word or glance

Can mean so very much

Holidays are spent

In rooms full of love and laughter

While the poor sit in shelters

Among others like them

Where the world looks gray and dreary

Reach out to help them

Volunteer and give them some joy

You know the Lord is looking out for them

So you can do it too

For every day that you live

Is like another day in paradise

Voted up, awesome, and beautiful Gypsy. We all should help one another when possible. In some cases, a simple deed can change a life, it did for me. A complete stranger is to thank, I wouldn't be where I am today without her. Well said.

This is beautiful Rasma and full of truth, so many are hurting today all over the world. The Philippines are a good example. Thank you for sharing..

So beautifully written - a great reminder that as Christmas approaches there are many who will not even know the reason for the season, and will certainly not have any way of celebrating.

Thanks for the share wetnosedogs We have a lot of unfortunate homeless here to in very bad circumstances. We must all be aware.

So true Ricky if more people reached out to other less fortunate everyone would be so much better off. Hope all is fine in your world.

We must all do our part and make other aware of those who need help. I did post on the HOW site Bill.

We must all be prepared to help others Ruby. I pray for those in the Philippines.

We must reach out and help Kim this is a way to make a better world. Blessings to you.

Our lives may seem difficult at times but to people who have no home it's still paradise Jamie.

Thank you Wayne. We must be aware of those who are much worse off than we are.

Very moving and full of truth for sure! If each one of us could do just a little something each day to brighten another one's life on this earth, this world would be such a nicer place in which to live.

      Up and more and sharing

God bless you. In His Love, Faith Reaper
