Days Of A Couple (poem)

Updated on March 30, 2014

Days of a couple story which we wrote

Just two more leaves adrift in life’s drawn breeze

Unknowing were the currents we would seize

For us the ground below seemed far remote

-

We wrote of timeless wonder we would tease

The dreams come true our kisses did promote

The splendor of such moments set afloat

Past perfect were the memories of these

-

We wrote of feelings mid our world profound

Not conscience of a sun about to set

-

The fate of leaves before us we were bound

Our summers were our Joy and our regret

-

We sensed as we laid dying on the ground

Days of a couple isn’t finished yet
