"Deaf" by Eric Wayne Flynn

"Deaf"

Going through the motions

Mundane in daily miracles

Focused upon magic

Swimming in mysteries of yesteryear

On the upper level, looking down upon the shadows

Growing as they pass

Never looking up, always on the down

Base models, standard, conformity to the ground

Assembly line soul searchers

Fed by the machine

Shooting out parts, data, components

Constructed in bits and pieces

Fragmented; conjuring up a whole

A complete being

Fabricated to feast upon

More and more and more and more

Infinity; a candle that burns at both ends

The now and the then, and bam it's tomorrow

And there are violins

And they are playing a tune

And you can't hear them

They are off in a far away place

And you know it's a beautiful song

True music

True harmony

True Balance

True love

Another great poem. I envy your skilful use of words Eric. Love the sound of those violins but they get closer and closer.
