I'm tired, I'm sore

I carry Death

Its bones dig deep, into my flesh

Tears dribble out, burning my skin

Death consumes me, from outside in

From my mind to my body

An infiltrating party

From my soul to my life

A crazy self strife

As years go on, it becomes a friend

Who's always there, unlike those ends

Of the ties now broken

Secrets lost in the motion

Glass bridges now shattered

Nothing else seems to matter

It's my exoskeleton, the air surround

It helps me always, with every sound

Clinging on, just like barb

I feel okay, I feel no harm

I'm used to it all, I have no fear

Death whispers solemnly, in my ear

"1 2 3 4

"When I hit 5

"Alive no more"

The melody plays

Of its soft, gentle hum

Me calmly panicking

Death has its fun

It kisses my lips

Locking onto me

As he takes me away

To forever sleep

There is no way to escape a sudden thought of mortality. Thank you for sharing.

Very deep. This is great and sad at the same time.
