Poetry: Death's Bliss

Updated on March 1, 2013

Death is something that I yearn to own
Never living if I would have known
Wanting to laugh in the face of death
Looking in to his eyes, I feel his distress
He is tired of playing these games
People cringe at his very name
When I die, I'll take his place
His name and fear will be erased
Is death worse than life and pain?
Living in darkness, turning deranged
Your mind slips, you go insane
Feeding in to all your shame

What can I say, except my heart goes out to you -- especially since I read another of your hubs in search of what might have made you write this one. Constant pain is not the companion anyone wishes for, and one anyone would want to be free of. May God give you the strength to win the battle over your pain while you live.
