Depth Of Dream (poem)

Updated on February 14, 2014

I search my heaven for a ray of light

Some spark to help me fathom depth of dream

This clarity where Joy is endless stream

And waves of splendor’s passions know no height

-

What wishes are still waiting to redeem

Across this field of dancing fancies’ flight

Where fantasies are waiting to ignite

As promises fulfill a wondrous theme

-

Such memories I marvel are they true

Or were they islands drifting in some sleep

A something missing emptiness now charms

-

Yet all around was magic that I knew

What was the source of richness which I reap

I search my heaven resting in my arms

Martin, Memories are good things to cherish and treasure, because in most cases, the day will come when they are all we have left. Beautiful poem.

I love the cadence of your poem, and especially delightful was the way you wrote your ending. It was a story of a journey that ends full circle. Your poems get better and better, it seems.

      Splendid poem, Martin.

The music choice perfectly matched your message of love.
