Devastation - A Poem

Updated on August 22, 2012
Source

Those strings must ache

When your hands stop strumming

For more vibrations

Endlessly running up and down

Groaning, wild, untamed melody

Baring your heart and showing me mine

Your perfect ecstasy

Willingly on display

Singing the songs no one else will

The ones I never knew I knew

Until you ripped me open

Purely erotic, dangerously innocent

You bring the most pleasurable pain

Torture those strings

Horizontal me

Use my body to create your devastation

Give me my chance at freedom

...........................................................................

I know - Worlds like ours don't collide

Your star would have to fall

And I'd rather watch you shine

Than to kill your devastation with mine

Wow! Incredible addition in such a short amount of time. I love the cadence to this poem; it flows beautifully. And of course, the message which we have talked about. I am so glad you are writing again; you have been missed.

You are a speed reader Billy! I just published this. This one has been flagged as too short too - goodness, I hope HubPages isn't discriminating against poetry these days! Thanks for reading as always and for all your support. I've missed HubPages these last couple of months, but haven't had much time to devote here. I hope to get more consistent.

Wow, thank you epigramman! I have squelched the creative side of me for a long time, and I feel stunted in that area, so I really appreciate your kind words. Warm wishes and good energy right back at you from the South.

Thanks Epi. You really didn't have to return but it's sweet. Will you write about the cats watching the game? I'd love to read that one!
